Apple Sends Out Mysterious Invites for Possible Launch of New MacBooks, iPads, or iPhones

Apple is scheduled to hold an event this March where the company could introduce a whole new range of products.

The company sent out invitations that bear strange messages such as”Let’s take a field trip” to an event that is scheduled to happen on the 27th of March.

A number of things regarding the invitation are unusual and unexpected. It appears that the event will concentrate on education – and it will take place in Chicago, not in the home of Apple in Cupertino, California, despite the fact that the company specifically built a theatre for these kinds of events at its new campus.

Specifically, it will be held at Lane Tech, a school that is located in Chicago that has been active in using and adopting new technology as a part of its teaching methods. That has led to suggestions that the tech giant could not only introduce new projects but might concentrate on new software or initiatives that are specifically focused on education.

Prior to the announcement of the March event, a whole new range of products has been rumoured to be launched this month. The products include new iPads, Apple Watch accessories, MacBooks, as well as some possible updates to the iPhone.

It is not clear whether the fact that Apple is specifically billing the event as being for education will imply that it will not launch some of the said products. Majority of them – such as the cheaper MacBook Air – could be characterised as being targeted at the education market, while still offered on sale to the general public.

As well as that MacBook, Apple could also bring a new version of the iPhone SE to the said event. And it is almost certain that the tech giant will introduce new Watch bands that are ready for spring and summer, which it has done every six months ever since the watch was originally released, even when it has not held an event.

The company did not hold a spring event in 2017, instead deciding to launch a whole new range of products in June and then September. However, the March events occur with some regularity: they happened during 2016, 2015, 2012 and 2011.

Traditionally, the March event has been the time that Apple launches new iPad, and the focus on education could further imply that the updates on the iPad are on their way. Apple released a new version of the iPad last summer. However, it is possible that it could also update its other lines such as the Pro and the Mini.

The tech company recently announced the date of its Worldwide Developers Conference, which is scheduled to take place in June. Traditionally, the said event is devoted to software updates, even though the company has also released other products at the WWDC.
