The iPhone X of Apple may not be donning thin bezels as that of its competition from the Android universe. However, it is still an attractive design nonetheless. The only issue is that if consumers wish to purchase the iPhone X, they will have to spend a big part of your savings. However, consumers can now purchase some of the ‘bezel-less thrills’ of the Apple’s iPhone X without paying a huge sum, all thanks to SHARP.
Recently, SHARP has been in the spotlight for producing some great looking smartphones with designs that boast of bezel-less displays, and they have now attempted to bring this new design trend to consumers with the SHARP Aquos R Compact. Priced at only $372, Sharp’s smartphone has a design that is similar to the iPhone X with a tiny notch at the top of the phone for housing the front camera. However, there is, no FaceID rivaling tech that is sitting on the top, which is agreed as this is deemed to be a phone for the masses. That could also be the basis for the fat bottom chin that features a home button that also houses a fingerprint scanner.
Underneath, the Sharp’s Aquos R Compact means business with its Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset, which is accompanied by a 3GB RAM and a 32GB of storage. The phone’s narrow-bezel display features a 4.9-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, and the notch that people see above the phone has an 8MP selfie shooter. There is a 16.4MP sensor for performing rear camera duties. The phone operates on Android 8.0 Oreo, which is a bonus point and comes with an EMOPA AI assistant to arrange the screen according to timing and location. The smartphone is powered by a 2500mAh battery, which can be charged quickly — thanks to the Quick Charging 3.0.
While the Aquos R Compact may not have attention to detail that can compete with the iPhone X of Apple, it is definitely a great phone for those who are looking to get a futuristic display at a feature-packed midrange smartphone’s price. However, before you decide on the purchase, there is another problem to the Aquos R Compact, something that is on the lines of the actual iPhone X — the phone is not available for purchase in India.
