Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, has spoken with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman to guarantee solidarity following the firing of a ballistic missile at the official residence of Salman.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting the Shiite rebels of Yemen says that it intercepted a missile on Tuesday over southern Riyadh. The rebels say that they were targeting a “top leadership” meeting in the capital of the kingdom.

It is an attack that the White House states was “enabled by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”

The US White House says that the leaders “discussed the importance of engaging the United Nations to hold Iran accountable for its repeated violations of international law” during Wednesday’s call and “agreed on the importance of reinvigorating a political process to end the war in Yemen.”

The war has killed over10,000 civilians and led millions to the brink of famine.
