Netflix is experiencing a major outage that stopped the streaming service from working across the globe.
Viewers discovered themselves not being able to watch any TV series or films on the site. Apparently, all that appeared was an error message instead.
The message says: “Netflix error: this title is not available to watch instantly.” It showed up instead of the video that the users had requested. The error happened on both the website and the app.
The official customer service Twitter account of the company posted a tweet to confirm that it was aware of the said problems.
It said in a tweet: “We are aware of members having trouble streaming on all devices.”
The tweet continued: “We are investigating the issue and appreciate your patience.”
The status page of Netflix is supposed to reveal when the site is broken. It seems that it is also experiencing some problems, and was failing to load. However, the website Down Detector revealed a huge spike in issues, coming from across the globe.
The site does not usually experience problems. However, since it is used by millions of people across the globe, even the slightest outage can result in huge problems.
People who are experiencing those problems posted on Twitter and other social media outlets to air out their complaints about the site and to joke that they now had nothing else to do.
