Last week, users of Nintendo Switch started to notice that the data of their activity log had been reset and the play time from before the 3rd of March had been deleted. Some users of Reddit reported the loss of playtime data while a few of those that are at Engadget also noticed the reset. And for those who purchased a Nintendo Switch when the product was launched last March 2017, that could likely imply that up to a year of their activity had disappeared suddenly. Nintendo has now released a comment regarding the issue, and the users of Nintendo Switch can breathe easily as Nintendo says that their data is not gone.
On Twitter, Nintendo said that for some of its users, activity information is being displayed incorrectly. However, the true activity of the players is still accurately recorded. The company said: “A future system update will resolve this issue & ensure play time data is correctly displayed.” Nintendo has since apologized for the said problem.
