On Wednesday, Henri Falcon, a Presidential election candidate in Venezuela, said that he would want a Wall Street economist who promotes dollarisation to end hyperinflation in Venezuela to perform a major role in his team if he is victorious.

Falcon informed Reuters that a Venezuelan who is chief economist at Torino Capital named Francisco Rodriguez would be the perfect leader of his team to fix the “cancer” of the economic crisis of Venezuela. Rodrigues is also advising Falcon informally.

The former state governor has broken with an opposition boycott to run against Maduro. He implied that he disagreed with possible oil sanctions of the United States of America that is against OPEC member Venezuela, saying that he opposed any measures that “end up hurting the poor.”
