UK Prime Minister Theresa May will speak to EU leaders on her proposals for the issue of expats’ rights following Brexit.
May will travel to Brussels for her first European summit after she lost her Commons majority in the general election.
It comes a day after measures to enable Brexit overshadowed the Queen’s Speech and with the Conservatives still seeking to secure the Commons support needed to pass their program.
Brexit negotiations began on Monday.
The UK is expected to leave the EU by the end of March 2019.
Both sides say they want to come to an agreement to secure the state of about 3.2 million EU nationals residing in the UK, and 900,000 Britons abroad, but nothing has been resolved so far.
Full details of her programs are expected to be announced on Monday.
