Trump Not Worried Regarding Michael Flynn’s Guilty Plea

US President Donald Trump said that he was not worried regarding what Michael Flynn will disclose to investigators after the former national security advisor of the president pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI yesterday because there was “absolutely no collusion” with Russia.

While leaving the White House, Trump informed reporters: “What has been shown is no collusion. There’s been absolutely no collusion, so we’re very happy.”

As part of the plea deal, Flynn agreed to cooperate with the investigation of special counsel Robert Muller into a possible collusion between the presidential election campaign of Donald Trump in 2016 and Russia.

According to court filings, Michael Flynn erroneously said that he did not request the Russian ambassador to refrain from intensifying the situation after the United States imposed sanctions on Russia. The guilty plea of Flynn yesterday sent the Dow plunging as investors feared over what other things Flynn might disclose under oath.

Following the crash of Dow, James Hughes, the chief market analyst of AxiTrader, stated: “We just don’t know how bad this gets for the president.

“The White House has issued a statement to say that Flynn only implicates himself and no one else, but the speed of the White House statement surely shows the severity of the situation. It’s likely to be an uncomfortable weekend for President Trump.”
