The Cabinet Office of Britain will investigate whether an international trade minister violated conduct rules by requesting his secretary to buy sex toys as sexual harassment allegations enrage Parliament.

Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, says that Mark Garnier will have to face an investigation after the former secretary of the minister informed reporters on Sunday that Garnier handed her some money to buy two vibrators at a Soho sex shop and called her a derogatory name in front of witnesses.

The story follows reports that female members and staffers of the Parliament have started message groups to warn colleagues regarding harassment.

Hunt informed reporters on Sunday that people would be furious regarding the allegations because “this shows that in our own backyard we don’t live up to the high standards that we would expect others to.”
