On Tuesday, Snap Inc’s Snapchat responded to a petition from Change.org that urged for a reversal of the latest redesign of the messaging app.
As a response, Snapchat did not agree to the demand of the petitioners. However, it promised to release a new update in the coming weeks that will introduce some changes to the ‘Friends and Discover’ section of the app.
Last week, Evan Spiegel, the Chief Executive of Snap, informed an investor conference in San Francisco that he was happy with the redesign of the app and thought that it was a setup that is more logical for the users.
The petition was entitled ‘Remove the new Snapchat Update.’ It has been signed by more than 1.2 million people so far. The petition said that the new update made many features complex to use.
The petition said that it intended to convince Snap Inc to revert the app back to the version before the 2018 update.
